ASK A QUESTION
Q:
Where can I purchase a Lucas Mill?

A:
For Australian sales, Lucas Mill sells direct from their factory in northeast Victoria. For overseas customers, sales are made through an extensive network of exclusive distributors. For a full listing of our international agents, please go to Find Us Worldwide.

Q:
Where can I see a Lucas Mill demonstration?

A:
Lucas Mill participates in over 40 agricultural and timber shows across Australia each year. For a full listing of the shows we will be attending this year, please go to Field Days. Alternately, we welcome factory visits by appointment. You may also like to order a copy of our free demonstrational DVD.

Q:
What level of blade care is required for a Lucas Mill?

A:
All circular swing-blade Lucas Mills are provided with a mini-grinder and diamond wheel for sharpening the blade teeth. This grinder is fitted to the mill using a customised bracket that is pre-set at the factory to support the grinder on the correct angle for tip sharpening. This simple feature not only makes regular sharpening an easy and accurate task, but also ensures that tips are kept sharp for optimum cutting performance. When the time comes for blades to be re-tipped or reconditioned, owners can either choose to purchase a re-tipping kit from Lucas Mill, or take the blades to their nearest recommended saw doctor for servicing.

Q:
What is the longest length of timber a Lucas Mill can cut?

A:
The only limitation is this respect is the length of the tree. As can be seen on our free promotional DVD, the Lucas Mill is capable of cutting any length due to the option for owners to join multiple sets of rails together when necessary.

Q:
Is the Model 8 Lucas Mill more versatile than the Model 6?

A:
All Lucas Mill's offer their owners exceptional portability, versatility and productivity. The key factor in deciding which model is the best for you is knowing what you are likely to use the machine for. The Model 8 Lucas Mill is certainly the most popular model sold, but this does not mean that it is necessarily the best suited for everyone’s needs. For instance, if you plan to cut tree stakes, then the larger model may not be the most economical or efficient choice. On the other hand, if you can see that you will be cutting larger boards or would like the option of fitting an extra wide slabber, then the Model 8 may well be the right machine for you.
