Action Packed Events Calendar for 2009

In 2009, Lucas Mill will be attending over 30 field days across Australia and New Zealand, as well as many other events across the world through our extensive network of distributors.

On Tuesday this week, the Australian Forest Growers conference participants were welcomed at the Lucas Mill factory for an afternoon which included a factory tour, live demonstrations and the opportunity to opperate the range of portable sawmilling equipment available from Lucas Mill.

It is very encouraging as a potential portable sawmill buyer to know that it is possible to generate a significant enough return from your Lucas Mill to pay for the machine in a very short period of time.

One of our customers in New Caledonia has proven that this can be done in one day! With the proceeds from one log, this very happy customer was extremely pleased to earn a sufficient return to completely cover the cost of his new mill.

For the first time in the history of the series, one competitor has stepped up to snatch all of the top prizes across the 6 stages of the world championship timbersports event. David Bolstad from New Zealand has sealed his name in the history books for the games, outshining the best of the best to take home the top prize, 23 score points ahead of his nearest rival.

Earlier this year, the Indonesian distributor for Lucas Mill was asked by the Governor of Papua in Jayapura to come and demonstrate and train people in the use of Lucas Mills, as a sustaiable method for harvesting timber into the future. The machines received an excellent response, particularly from the Governor and the Head to the Forestry department in Papua.

This week Lucas Mill hosted a training visit with our distributors from Papua New Guinea.

This visit is just one example of the number of activities Lucas Mill engages in to ensure that our representatives around the world are well trained and informed, and able to deliver the best standard of customer service possible.
